Department stores in this part of the world typically open their shops to customers at 10:00 A.M. By this time, there are already shoppers waiting by the shop doors. And the more challenging part is how to stay charming, patient and personable when the shop door opens at 10:00 A.M. despite all the stress factors hours before. As such, many department store employees would tell you that department store jobs are only for tough cookies. They are not for the faint-hearted. They are meant for those who are made of sterner stuff.

If you are planning to get a job at a department store, there are many things that you should know, so you can make your choice in a more informed manner. The first challenge that you should expect are demanding customers.
